By Jayme Hull-

“…..the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand…But even if he does not, we want you to know. O king, that we will not serve any other god” (Daniel 3:17-18 KJV)

How are you and God doing? This is my normal greeting to my friends who love the Lord. If you were to ask me that question right now, I would hesitate with my answer. Hesitation is not normally how I respond. But today is not a normal day for my family. I am currently on the fifth day of sitting in the CCU of a local Hospital with my Father in extreme pain and failing health. Looking forward our family will be facing tough times and tough decisions.

So, the question is still how are you and God doing, Jayme? The bottom line is I know what I believe and I believe what I know.

I know God is alive and active and sitting on the Throne.
I know God hears our cry and sees us right where we are.
I know God’s will for us is always good, perfect and full of purpose.

Philip Yancey says in his book Disappointment With God:
“Endurance is not just the ability to bear a hard thing, but to turn it into glory.”
“Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.”

My Daddy needs a healing touch from God, but if not, I will still worship God and serve Him with all of my heart, soul and mind. My worship is through a flood of tears but like the three young boys in Daniel chapter three, I will forever serve and love the Lord My God.

I choose to trust God with Psalm 34:18
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

If you are hurting and looking for answers I want to encourage you to join me and keep believing. I am reminded as I write this post that all of us need to keep our eyes on the Lord. Continue to read the Word of God and listen to Praise and Worship Music that lifts up the name of Jesus.

God is too wise to be mistaken.
God is too good to be unkind.
So when I don’t understand, when I can’t trace His hand,
When I can’t see God’s plan
I’ll trust God’s heart!
