Over lunch, my sister-in-law Deb and I were meeting with her eldest son to discuss the project God had laid on our hearts. Cameron was providing direction and throwing out ideas as Deb and I shared our hearts on what we wanted “My Purpose Now”, our new website, to look like. Cameron threw out a statement: “Don’t let the start stop you.” That phrase has been resounding in my head ever since; I realized it is what I had been doing my whole life.

Don’t let the start stop me. For there to be a start, it means something has changed. Change unsettles me and stirs up emotions which, in the past, I would bury deep in my soul. Change causes me to feel irritable, cranky, and just snarly. I have experienced so much change in my life, some good, most not. I started looking at change as a “do over”; we can begin again and again and yet again. The problem was the results were always the same.
